DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintains records of transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and ensuring legal requirements compliance - Balances budgets, revenues and expenses which includes staffing, food costs, capital expenses, supplies and maintenance - Reconciles orders and receipts - reviews the day's report to ensure accuracy and be able to recognize and understand the various symbols and abbreviations used in the industry - Must be able to spot the inconsistencies with the report after tallying the day's receipts - Expenditures - keeps an eye on the restaurant's budget and supplies to ensure that staff are not ordering too much - Monitors the receipts and compares them to the restaurant budget - Checks on inventory counts to ensure that the levels of ordering are appropriate - Inspects storage to ensure proper and correct recording - Payables: responsible for payroll and payment of suppliers - Double checks time cards of staff and makes sure that employees are recording their hours worked in accordance to their working schedules - Ensures compliance with SSS, Philhealth, Pagibig and payment of government taxes - Reconciles supplier's invoices with orders and ensures that payments and services made are accurate - Deposits: prepares bank deposits which includes comparing cash receipts, checks and credit card payments with total sales for the day - Prepares accounting reports - Complies with local, state and other government reporting requirements - Calculates variances from the budget and report significant issues to management - Maintains an orderly accounting filing system - Prepares financial statements - Conducts reconciliation of the company's bank accounts - Ensures that receivables are collected promptly - Purchases supplies and equipment as authorized by management - Conducts restaurant visits - Provides clerical and administrative support to management as requested - Other responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate superior/ head as deemed necessary QUALIFICATIONS - Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Technology or Business Administration - With pleasing personality - Proficient in oral and written communication - Highly organized, meticulous, hardworking and trustworthy - Knowledgeable in basic ms applications (word, excel, powerpoint) - Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
